Within this lesson we have talked about are game world project. talking about what this project is about and what is expected about are work for this project. we were also told that we will have to choose between six different possible places that we will make and also five different cultural artefacts that we will have to pick from to help design the environment. taking details from the item and using it within the design, we'll also have to do research within the item and consider the cultural significance and make sure that we don't make it 

Here are the places that we have to pick for this project:

Witches Cottage

Heroes Arming Chamber 

The Abyssal Dungeons

Interior of the Wights Tomb

Temple of the Sacred Carbunkle

The Fort of Festermire 

I'm thinking of ever going for the tomb or the dungeons, since they more feel like something id like to do and just from the names I've already have plenty of ideas of what i could do and the design.  

And as for the cultural artefacts:






For my thoughts of these I think that ever the 1, 3 and maybe the 5 artifact. This is because out of those I can think of many different aspects I can take for the design of them and use them for my environment design. and I also think that the culture behind them seem to be really interesting and could hold plenty of ideas that I can pick from for the environment. 
 


After all of this we had done a mini quiz were we looked and tried to answer about what kind of hours we have and should work at home and uni and also more things around that area. 



Here are some pieces of work from other people that have done their own concept and environment  sheet. this helps to show around the level of work that we can expect to do for this project and around the level of work and effort that we should put into making them.

Here is a challenge that was made by a man know as Bobby Rebholz. He would do a challenge known as the 200 concept challenge, where he would basically draw 200 concept sketches. There is no time limits and it can be done whenever.

Within this lesson we looked at and discussed about thumbnailing and also talked about and discussed about the technique of sketch bashing. Sketch Bashing is when an artist

Game 1

Minecraft - I had watched other people play the game. 

I have chosen to write about this games because this game has been a real important part of my life and it has reached so many other people and creating so many different communities that have brought people closer. 

Within this game they have many different structures, each one different from the last and have something new or unique about it. while there is no tomb structure their are still plenty of structures to take inspiration from and I could even look at other people creation of tombs, that us could use as inspersion.

This game has been able to allow others to show, express and grow their creativity, not only within building, but also within story telling, problem solving, teamwork and many more. tis game has been a positive effect on all and as it grows everyone grows with it
.
I think a way in which this game would be able to expand and improve itself, is by listening and hearing out its community. by listening to it's community they will be able to improve ippon anything that others ever want or think don't want. 

 
SWOT

Firstly, the strengths within the game, are that it not only has great graphics and loading speeds. they also do great with giving the players the freedom to play the game how ever they want and to get really creative with how they do it. 

Secondly, the things that this game sadly fails at is, to game can be a little to challenging and seems to only be getting more difficult as time passes and each new update. they are also not the best at taking suggestions from the community, which has lead to other people having to create mod packs just to add in what they want or to fix issues. 

Thirdly, for the opportunities within this game and that it presents to it's audience. Many people have created their own living off of playing and making stuff for the game. mostly content creators who video themselves playing the game and been able t get pretty famous and even be given awards and gifts for their videos. 

Finally, within this game they have plenty of controversies. One of the most well know controversies is that this game will say they would add a new item or mob, but would then later remove it or change it out for something else, which would then lead to other people getting their hopes up and then not get what they were waiting for. There have also been aby problems with a community event that this game hosted called the mob vote


Game 2 

Dead by daylight - I was introduced to it by my friends.

I had chosen to talk about this game because not only is it a large contrast to the first game but its also a very fun take off a horror game. Instead of a normal horror game were you have a story and plot to follow you instead play a game with other people trying to escape from a killer that is also played by another person. this take of horror game is really fun in my eyes and is nice to  have tones of different player able characters and different maps to play on.
